About the Practitioner Cart
Monday, August 18, 2008
In the regional sites, a mobile cart will be used to host the video conferencing system. The cart will be able to be positioned at the bedside of the patient so that the advising physician can view the patient condition remotely and advise the treating physician.
The Polycom HDX Practitioner cart will be the device located at the bedside in the regional cart2.jpgcentres.

The Cart’s small footprint is designed around a durable, easy-to-clean cart frame that provides the ultimate in manoeuvrability and flexibility.

A counter-weighted base provides stability for all types of flooring surfaces and the four large, rubber ball-bearing swivel casters enable it to be moved and positioned effortlessly.

For added flexibility, the cart’s height adjusts from 70.5” (179 cm) to 50.8” (129 cm) to accommodate multiple users.

The 55 Ah battery power system provides support for up to five hours on a single charge, so you can concentrate on helping your patients without having to worry about locating a power source.

The conveniently placed, remote user interface lets you know battery capacity at a quick glance.

Three integrated hospital grade outlets provide ample power for supporting a multitude of customer supplied accessories.

The project is supported by funding from the Australian Government under the Clever Networks program
