A similar project is commencing in Tasmania called the “Tasmanian VirtualCare@Tas Program shortly. Kathy Kirby Project Manager, Dept Health & Human Services Tasmania attended the Melbourne Launch of ViTCCU and had this to say:
We have a similar business deliverable for emergency and critical care, not as large as the Loddon Mallee region, but equally important for health service providers and members of the Tasmanian population living in rural and remote areas. Regardless of the state, we are all facing similar challenges to varying levels.

One of the important outcomes of the Loddon Mallee project will be lessons learnt which can be shared with others undertaking similar activities so we can maximise the benefits of our funding through shared experiences.
The project is supported by funding from the Australian Government under the Clever Networks program
